It was only a half-moon tonight, but the sky was
so clear that it glistened. I padded onto the deck to marvel at the
stars and the planets, and there was the Milky Way, expansive and
dreamy. I can’t help but wonder what ancient peoples made of this
unearthly beauty. We can never go backwards and unknow what we now
know about the cosmos, but does does understanding make it any less
breath-taking? I wonder.
